We The Crew have been enraptured by the pure, raw talent and beauty that is Jhené Aiko since the release of her truly stunning mixtape Sailing Soul(s). Today, a VERY long four months after the minute-long teaser made its way online, Ms. Aiko released the full-length video for her equally stunning new work entitled “3:16AM.” Our choice of the word “work” here is entirely intentional, because this is precisely what she has created. Artistic in every way, the video hauntingly and beautifully conveys the true intrigue and desperation of the human condition in all of its uncomfortable and unsettling forms. What we take away from an experience such as this is nothing short of an affirmation; one that demonstrates the truly limitless impact that music can and will always be capable of having on the lives of those who make it and those willing to really listen. In an era when moments like this often seem beyond sparse, this video has indeed given us hope. Brace yourself and much love.
